To perform in varied hunting situations Oryx is designed with a core bonded to the jacket. The bullet still expands rapidly, but the bonding prevents a separation of the jacket from the core. This weight retention allows the bullet to penetrate deep for reliable results on more demanding shots.

This expanded .30-06 calibre Oryx bullet was removed from a 350kg bull moose.
The bullet hit the ribs and lungs yet retained 96% of its original weight thanks to the superior adhesion between jacket and core. 

A ground down Oryx bullet can withstand being twisted 90 degrees without any signs of seperation as shown.
